The reason that we are in a recession is due to the oil being 118/barrel. We need to do more to get our oil shale produced. I am a chair over the western caucus and we are focusing on that. Anyone know how much oil we have in this area. We have seven times the amount of oil compared to the middle east. We have 3.5 billion barrels.
We have six companies that can get the oil out, so why aren’t we doing it?”

There are ceramic filters that can be used to get it to jet fuel level. These companies need to get worked through the permitting. We are trying to get the President emergency powers to cut through the red-tape. So then the markets, capital markets can get it moving.
One of my democrat colleagues says that he can take time to study how to be a congressman. The democrats are liberal and unabashedly socialist. They just don’t want to tell you that. They call themselves progressive. They become more socialist after elections. We are going to move towards socialism very quickly now.
The democrats have two problems. I paid a lot for gas last night to get home.”

4/25/2008 7:57:37 AM Answer Chris Cannon “There was an oil find off Brazil that might help us with 10-30 billion barrels offshore. If we would allow ourselves to drill it, then we can move this forward. If we had a mandate to vote for oil out of Anwar then the price would go down.
IPP price for getting oil out of coal $88/ton. The 2005 price for coal was $15. We could change our gas source even for coal to liquid. You have offshore, coal, shale and other options that are recoverable sources. There is no reason to not do this. The environmentalists and oil companies and the Democrats are enablers for both of them.
Do we as Republicans like big companies or little companies? Both but we like rules. The Democrats are not playing by the rules.
The ethanol subsidy I did not vote for. Big business is using socialism and the Democrats to get ahead.”

What can we do to develop it? I am introducing a bill that will allow us a process to move the permits forward. You will see us show this against the Democrats. I think this will help us win elections.
We also have tax cuts. I saw a bumper sticker that said, “”Kill Bush.”” It is the guy who is dating my daughter. I told him that he needed to take the sticker off. He is a Democrat and he says that the Democrats are going to tax the rich.
The whole race that is going on right now in PA is about different types of Democrats who are the ‘elite’ and the ‘Reagan’ versions. I believe that we can make advancements. We are going to lose a number of seats. Half of our seats are up for new people. You all understand who is contributing.
There are 1.5 million people contributing to them. Anyone know who is the Democrat in this race?
It is Bennion Spencer. So, Obama tells them to give money to Bennion Spencer in Salt Lake City. He could have a couple of million dollars just by having Obama redirect his people to give money to their campaign. This is something new. I hope that you make a contribution to my website. If politics is important you should make a small donation as an ‘army’ so that you can move things forward as a larger group. Romney had a lot of big contributors but was also starting a small contributor base. Romney had 1000 kids who helped in moving things forward. Mormon kids who talked to their friends who were not Mormons.

Can onyone tell me what John Boehner said? How about Newt Gingrich? So, you recognize one and what I am telling you is that many people are not sure they are Republicans. It is in our platform. If we were talking about it then we would not be in the minority. Newt was very clear about what we are. In Utah we are well understood, but nationally they do not know who we are.
Obama is now telling us that we need to Change. What is that? Google Duvall Patrick and find what he thinks. Patrick said that we have the same speech writer and are good friends. Look at what Patrick has done and see what you come up with. He is as far left as we can go. MA is very left. Does anyone here want socialized medicine?

The Democrats have stated that their greatest achievement is that they increased our minimum required fuel efficiency and that will change the price of gas. The House did a card check. Every company in America will create unions. Right now the Democrats are not moving and the Republicans are not doing anything about it.
McCain is now the spokesman. He gave his speech on the economy two weeks ago. He is not a clear Republican. He is interested in Global Warming not building our energy. Tom Coburn is an outlier and will not be a spokesman. We no longer have Rick Santorum. We don’t have a national presence and many of us are committed to getting something moving forward so that someone can be the spokesman.

4/25/2008 8:22:07 AM Question Right now I am disabled and cannot go back to work. I can not go back because I have been injured at work. There is a ceiling to disability. I worked for a long time at the company and cannot use my Long Term disability because of WorkMans compensation and it’s rules. If 2/3 of your salary is covered only and if you can’t get more then it hurts.

Hospital emergency rooms have to provide care. This has driven the cost up and so there are fewer emergency rooms. There are many that send their birthing activity to the San Diego hospital so that they can create citizens.
We need to create a mandate for health, so that people who are pulled over have to show car registration and health insurance.
You can be angry or you can solve the problem.”

We may have people that will sell insurance products from Utah to other states. If we took away mandates then you might be able to manage your relationship with the insurance companies.
The market is messed up because we are paying extra costs and there are mandates and I don’t know in the case of depression what you might have to go through but I think the market can help with that.”

When you are in manufacturing you are getting pressure and there is a lot of volatility in the market. Many of the jobs are moving to automation.

4/25/2008 8:39:54 AM Answer Chris Cannon “Has anyone googled skull and bones. Skull and bones is the group that the Bushes were a part of. You can see who the alumni are and what they control. Those who went through this program lead the world. Are these people creating this union? This is no longer vague stuff and you can see who these people are. You can verify what is going on. What that will tell you is that there are kingmen who get together and run institutions around the world for our benefit.
Then there are the others who are wanna be’s. They try and associate themselves with these people in power. There are people with great power who are doing this.
You can not kill them since it is off the table. You can see who they are and the way to avoid this union is to have transparency.
If Joe Ferguson was here he would say the SPP is causing us to move this forward. We are moving towards having similar standards in the other countries. Security is holding borders. If you have googled SPP then you will come up with some good information. There are a bunch of working groups that talk about things that they don’t publish. Some of this is classified, like port entries, but that which is not classified like Prosperity then I would rather know what they are talking about. I think my prosperity is my issue.
We need accountability in these groups. It scares me to think that there are beaurocrats who are directing this for us.
You can do things with this information. There is not a concensus on these issues even at the highest level. You can do this. We are going to do an omnibus bill that no one knows what is being spent here. So I am focusing on this bill. It is huge. What would happen if we did a thing like wikipedia. So then you open up this omnibus to 100,000 people who review the bill. What would happen if you were able to see where the DOE was spending money for paper clips.
If you were able to see these things with transparency then you will have people in America helping in making the decisions. We can transform America. Obama has a team of people who have contributed and will participate in the process. The American people can govern themselves better. We may lose the super majority in the Senate this time. If we can start on transparency then we can help on these other issues.
Yes there are wealthy people who control much of this so we need them to be open to review.
When you get online you can review the budgets after the fact. You can review things like Egypt and foreign aid. The opportunity to change things now. Suppose we had an immigration debate that was open. Suppose you had millions of people who follow this debate. What happens when someone makes an amendment and posts it to the web. America is more wise as a general population. The bill for immigration from the masses would be a good bill. I don’t want you to just vote at convention, but I want you to get involved at your level. Things that are interesting to you, you can help with and change.
A mortgage broker came to me 8 years ago and asked me why people can know their Fair Isaac score. So we worked on helping them make their score available. So they started to make them available. That is the thing that should have been transparent. And it is now because of one man.
You have heard about the weather underground as a relationship with Obama. You need to speak.
I went on Oreilly’s show and tried to differentiate Mormons and FLDS. He gave me a chance to make the point. I had a chance to talk about the fact that an 18 year old girl does not have freedom when they already have 3 children.
Leavitt prosecuted bigamy because he says it can lead to gay marriage. Warren Jeffs prosecution is based on abuse to girls. Polygamy is not immoral per se. This platform gives us a chance to say something. We can be on national talk shows.
The way that we get our message out is to have us move forward transparency.”

Romney will likely make a lot of movement on the campaign. McCain understands that if you move the Mormons in CA then you can make some things happen. If we win CA then the democrats can’t win.”

We are in a time when either Clinton, Obama or McCain will be president. McCain will cut a deal.
Amnesty was the problem with the immigration bill. Diane Feinstein just introduced a bill about changing immigration. So when a guy gets a green card then he is forced to get in to the system. I would be inclined to allow them to be able to change where they are depositing so that it can leave with the separate account money and this is worth it for him to return home.
The reason that the Kennedy / McCain bill was so bad was that Kennedy drafted it. Some of the things were principled but Kennedy’s staff drafted the final deal. It will be those kinds of deals that will need to be killed if McCain gets in.
If you had a Republican Congress then we would have a chance to make a difference.
